SLATE RESTORATION OIL · CARE GUIDE
Bring back the depth.
Let the slate speak.
Our signature Slate & Stone Restorer brings depth and richness back to suitable slate and stone, with a simple, sparing application and a subtle protective finish. This guide takes you through preparation, application and finishing.

A GOOD PLACE TO START
Before you begin.
Test a discreet area first. Use on a clean, dry, cool surface, remove excess thoroughly and follow the bottle label. Oil spills can make surfaces slippery.
Prepare
Clean the slate and allow it to dry completely.
Check a small, hidden area for compatibility and appearance. Keep the surface cool throughout application.
Apply lightly
Spray a little onto a soft cloth or the slate. Spread a thin, even coat.
A clean cloth helps control the amount. Avoid pools and work over one area at a time.
Let it settle
Allow a few minutes for the oil to penetrate.
Use the timing on your bottle. More oil is not a substitute for allowing the first light coat to settle.
Buff
Remove excess with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.
Turn the cloth to a fresh section as you work. Do not leave a wet, oily film.
A LITTLE GUIDANCE
Good to know.
What does Slate Oil do?
It revives the natural colour and richness of suitable slate and stone, leaving a subtle protective finish. Clean the surface before application.
Is it suitable for my stone?
Natural stone and existing treatments vary. Check the label and test a small, hidden area to confirm compatibility and appearance before treating the whole surface.
Do I need Slate Wax as well?
Slate Oil focuses on colour and depth. Slate Wax is an optional finishing step for extra shine. You can use either for its own purpose.
What is included?
One 100ml spray bottle. Cloths, gloves and stone in the photographs are props and are not included.
