Read the care guide

A CONSIDERED ROUTINE

A little care.
A smoother everyday.

Test a hidden area for finish compatibility first. Use only a thin film on clean, dry wooden contact surfaces. Follow the furniture maker’s care advice; wax will not repair swollen, warped or damaged drawers.

  1. 01

    Prepare & test

Empty the drawer. Clean the wooden contact surfaces, let them dry and test a small hidden area for finish compatibility.

  2. 02

    Apply a thin film

Take a little wax on a soft, lint-free cloth. Spread sparingly along the drawer contact edges and fixed wooden runners.

  3. 03

    Wipe away excess

Use a clean part of the cloth to remove excess wax. Leave a thin film, without lumps or a heavy coating.

  4. 04

    Refit & glide

Refit the drawer correctly and gently open and close it a few times. If it still sticks, check for obstruction, swelling, misalignment or damage.

A LITTLE KNOW-HOW

A wooden drawer lubricant, applied where it matters.

Wax for wooden runners and contact edges

Apply a small amount to the suitable wooden surfaces that rub as the drawer moves. You do not need to coat the drawer interior. Wipe away excess and gently open and close the refitted drawer to check its movement, following the furniture maker’s guidance.

Check why the drawer is sticking

Wax can help suitable wooden contact surfaces glide, but it cannot repair a swollen drawer, a loose joint or worn runners. Empty and inspect the drawer first. If sticking persists, look for obstruction, misalignment or damage rather than adding more product.

Match the care to the runner

This is a wood-on-wood drawer-care product. Metal ball-bearing slides, plastic runners and soft-close mechanisms need their maker’s maintenance advice. Patch test finished wood and use a thin film on clean, dry contact surfaces.

THE DETAILS, BEAUTIFULLY CONSIDERED
